The Third Edition of the Nissan Grand Prix Takes Place This Sunday at Complexe ICAR in Mirabel!
The third edition of the Nissan Grand Prix will take place this Sunday, July 6, at the Complexe ICAR, located on the grounds of the former Montreal-Mirabel International Airport. On track, Nissan Sentra Cup drivers will mark the 2025 season’s halfway point with rounds 6 and 7 of the championship, but that’s far from the only highlight of the day!
Completely free for spectators, this unique event drew over 3,000 fans in 2024. This year, fans will once again be able to explore and test drive some of Nissan’s latest models, including the ARIYA, Armada, Kicks, Kicks Play, Rogue, and of course, the Sentra. Test drive participants will also be automatically entered into a draw to win an unforgettable on-track experience: hot laps with a professional driver aboard either the fully electric LEAF NISMO RC or the Nissan Z Nismo.
Additionally, the all-new 2026 Nissan LEAF, recently unveiled, will be on display for the first time in Canada. This redesigned, fully electric family crossover features elegant styling, improved aerodynamics, and a more advanced EV platform.
As part of the third edition of the Nissan Grand Prix, the Nissan Sentra Cup will feature two new races. Following the season opener at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (Ontario) in May and a successful debut at Atlantic Motorsport Park (Nova Scotia) in June, this event kicks off the first of two summer rounds in Quebec—the second being the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières in August. With two wins in the first five races, Simon Vincent currently leads the drivers’ championship. He will aim to extend his lead at the top of the standings on a track he knows inside out.
Two-time champion (2022–24) Valérie Limoges, Nicolas Barrette, and Nicolas Lévesque each have one win this year and remain in strong contention for the title alongside Vincent. Also in the mix is rookie Marc-Antoine D’Amour, who has impressed from his very first laps in the Nissan Sentra Cup. With two podium finishes and plenty of points scored in the first five races, he is emerging as a serious contender for victory.
The season’s opening races have delivered plenty of excitement—and with two races packed into a single afternoon, this Sunday’s Nissan Grand Prix promises even more action.
Nissan Sentra Cup drivers will take to ICAR’s track six times on Sunday, July 6. Two free practice sessions in the morning will alternate with test drive opportunities for registered Nissan fans. Qualifying for the first race will take place from 10:00 to 10:20 a.m., followed by the second qualifying session at 11:00 a.m.
From 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., all series drivers will be available for an autograph session, a great opportunity for fans to meet the competitors before watching the first 40-minute race at 1:00 p.m. Before that, the track will be used by Nissan Z Club members for a parade from 12:30 to 12:45 p.m.
Hot laps in the LEAF NISMO RC and Nissan Z Nismo will then be offered to draw winners from 1:50 to 2:20 p.m., ahead of the second Nissan Sentra Cup race, which will begin at 3:00 p.m. and run for another 40 minutes, capping off the action-packed schedule of the third edition of the Nissan Grand Prix.
